Each country has its own set of standards and rules for International Purchasers. It is our job to guide you through that process, and distinguish between properties with clear title, titles with restrictions, and leasehold properties.   
 

Below are some questions Central America One Stop feels are vital to answer before purchasing property in any of our 6 Central American countries.  Most of the information is extremely difficult to obtain without a qualified professional; which is why we include these verifications as a part of our service.   
 

Things to Investigate Prior to Purchasing any Real Estate in Central America 
 

  1. Can we verify clear title and obtain title insurance?
  1. Is there a confiscation, “cooperative”, or “ejido” in the chain of ownership?
  1. How did the current owner obtain title?
  1. Can the government ever take my property?
  1. How do you know the boundaries of the land?  Is there a survey?
  1. Does the land have any restrictions on ownership?
  1. Are there people living on the land?  If so, what/if any rights might they have?
  1. Is the access public or easement?
  1. How does the closing process work in this particular country and region?
  1. Will I need a local attorney?
